For acute trauma/injuries, end stage deformities, and infections requiring immediate surgical attention or for other conditions which are unresponsive to conservative treatmthat Dr. Dahlin is also surgically trained and ABFAS board certified.

With over 10 years of surgical experience—including a 3 year foot and ankle surgical residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago—he enjoys being able to restore mobility for his patients through surgical methods and is experienced in surgically treating nearly all foot and ankle conditions such as fractures, bunions, hammertoes, arthritis, plantar fasciitis, tendon repairs, ankle stabilization, and more.


By practicing medicine outside the insurance model, COFAW is able to lower average surgical costs while avoiding the frequent delays, restrictions, and excessive expenses commonly found in the traditional healthcare system. With the freedom to charge transparent prices, purchase supplies at lower costs, and operate with lower overhead, surgical procedures with Dr. Dahlin can often be performed for less than the cost of your average deductible.

Foot & Ankle Surgical Fees

Surgeon fees typically range between $1,000 - $3,000 (depending on complexity/timing of surgery and anticipated recovery) and include an extensive and detailed pre-operative history & physical examination, the surgical procedure, in-operating room sugical assistant (Dr. Moore), CAM boot and/or surgical shoe required for the post-operative recovery and ALL follow-up care, including X-rays. Surgical patients also receive Dr. Dahlin's personal contact info for urgent responses when needed. If surgery is conducted within the initial calendar year of the first consultation, any expenses incurred during the initial consultation will be subtracted from the total surgical cost. Please note that anesthesia costs, materials/supplies, and operating room costs are billed independently by their respective providers.
